Self-Replicating Site
A self-replicating site is a web site which reproduces additional copies of itself on demand (although each copy
may differ in some way, such as co-branding, or containing a different
tracking code).
Many affiliate programs,
provide self-replicating sites to their members.
The advantage of a self-replicating site is that it provides even those affiliates who don't have their own
web site, something to promote. it's usually free, and gives each affiliate a professional presentation of
the product/service. The disadvantage of self-replicating sites, is that each site is basically the same,
and some affiliates will focus so much on the self-replicating site, rather than their own web site, that
it will actually hamper sales.
If you are a member of a program that provides a self-replicating site, it is always better to build your
own web site which links to it, and promote this, rather than promote the self-replicating site itself.
