Meta Refresh
Meta Refresh is a method of redirection which is
implemented within the user's web browser.
In order to take advantage of this feature, the web page that redirects,
includes a Meta Refresh tag within the HEAD section:
<meta HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="10; URL=http://www.yoursite.com/page.html">
The meta refresh tag redirects to the specified URL after the specified number of seconds.
Note:
- Some older browsers may not implement this HTML tag, so for maximum compatibility, it is
a good idea to include a link within the page content, for example: Click here if
you are not automatically redirected.
- Some search engines will not index pages containing the Meta Refresh tag. Additionally
some other search engines will consider pages containing short Meta Refresh times to
be spamdexed pages.
