Lift Letter
A Lift Letter is a letter that is shown only to those customers who don't buy, hopefully with the effect of making them reconsider. Used effectively it can increase your sales conversion ratio by 200% or more.
If you decide to incorporate a Lift Letter, you should concisely:
- Answer the main objections (too expensive, I have no time for it, etc.)
- Remind them of the reasons for trying the product immediately - for example: limited time special offers, extra features available for a short time only, lost benefits if they don't order now, etc.
- Remind them of any free bonuses or free gifts that are part of your offer.
- Reassure them of the validity and strength of your guarantee (you do have one don't you?) - and your generous returns policy if they are not completely satisfied.
You could, for example, incorporate a Lift Letter into your site by including a link that says something
like "Click Here If *Only* You've Decided Not To Buy", or perhaps by using a popup
window that only activates if they leave your site without clicking the "Buy Now" link.
