Headline
The headline is the doorway to your sales letter or advert, that appears at the top of the message.
The headline is undoubtedly the most important part of an effective sales letter, and the most
common weakness of beginning copy writers is not spending sufficient time on the headline.
An effective headline should:
- Be a sentence or phrase.
- Be placed at the beginning of the text (like a chapter heading).
- Be written and presented in a style that will make prospects want to read more.
- Contain a promise that one of more of your prospects needs will be satisfied by the product.
